What's with the sudden influx of letters?
« on: July 21, 2008, 06:34:03 PM »
Back in the Old Country, we were lucky to get one email a week from theists for awhile there.

Now on the new forum, we've gotten like 10 emails in the last few hours alone.  What's up with that?
If we come together and do not fight over religion, class and borders then we hold the key to a peaceful world. There are two possible futures in store; either a March of power and greed or a March of a unified human race.

Gotta populate the new board, make it look used so people will feel welcome. It is a ploy that works sometimes. Good thing this board already has somewhat of a user base.
If you are following God why can I still see you?

We are fortunate enough to have better access (better than before, anyway) to the site's webmail system, which attracts plenty of e-mails. For now I have been posting them as they come in. I cannot guarantee that this amount will be the norm; I am simply catching up with the letters that have gone undelivered due to previous unfortunate circumstances.

I've noticed that the forum seems to be "seeded" in other ways.  New theist posters jumping in for the first time that are (amazingly) not idiots.

Interesting...

So - can someone tell me how this mail thing works.  Do the people who post the emails ever see our responses?  As usual, I'm confused.

No, they have to look for them.  They rarely do.

All messages receive a response with a link to the thread that contains their message. Whether they choose to register here and partake in the discussion is entirely up to them.

Forgive me.  I did not realize how efficient the mail handling had become.

That was a truly Laugh Out Loud comment Lord Codswallop.  I seem to remember someone claiming we followed Codswallopism.  That was a wonderful old thread.
