hey thank you for doing that

i try to get the videos online directly, but you're correct, my telephone doesn't allow me to easily copy the link from the video in a way that displays correctly, and that's all i have for 13 or 14 hours on a workday.

here's another try

lol

seems to work okay on the laptop, but much slower to copy

I swear, saving money is bullshit. I had more fun running from New Rochelle to the city and back with my little brother than I've ever had doing anything else.

I almost never post in this thread, but currently, this song is almost an obsession:
"Tell people that there's an invisible man in the sky that created the entire universe and the majority believe you. Tell them the paint is wet, and they have to touch it to be sure." ~George Carlin

My hearing isn't great. First time I heard that song on the radio I said "somebody get that poor woman some boots."
I am not sure how to describe the intricacies of this Hell, so I chose to begin with the most common or prominent theme of Hell, which is uncertainty.

"Gold Rush" star may have been looking for gold in the wrong place.

Ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, and my servant whom I have chosen; that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

In 1975 I was born

Without any worries in the world
Without a father to call my own

I have lived and loved
dreamed and suffered
Longed for a better world
witnessed the devastation of failed expectations

I have tried and lost
awoke from the nightmare greeted by the sun
by day chasing a dream
In the darkness always on the run

I have abandoned hope
yet found the strength to carry on
Thoughts and prayers, words and wishes
If spoke out loud, they are louder than bombs

Without sorrow there is no hope
Without hope there is no tomorrow

It's all just a work in progress

It may have made a difference or not but the first time I heard this song was with a group of friends after a good meal and several bong hits and the song was played on an excellent home stereo system loud enough for all the neighbors to hear.

Definitely my favorite song from Aerosmith. Possibly one of my favorite songs of all time.

Metallica is really starting to grow on me right now. I’ve listened to the odd song by them before and found what I heard sort of interesting. But it wasn’t one of those love at first sight moments.

More recently though, I’ve started to feel differently:

I've become quite enamoured of metal in my later years.

Metallica does a great rendition of Whisky in the Jar

For some reason I thought Metallica were a hard rock band. But you’re right, they are a heavy metal band! I need to get better at recognising the differences between the two types when I hear them.

Yeah, I really like that version too. :-)  It’s fast become one of my favourite songs to listen to by them!

I’m definitely more into listening to gothic/symphonic metal than I used to be. I’ve so far really enjoyed listening to Lacuna Coil and Within Temptation. I also like some of the stuff Theatre of Tragedy have done. Recently started listening a bit to Epica and Dream Theatre. I am quite liking Epica so far and think Dream Theatre could yet grow on me also!

Dee Snider, of Twisted Sister fame, is coming out with a new much more metal album.

Not really listening to anything though when I go out to the store, or something, I am currently listening to the three CD Queen GH's.

Thanks for the mention! Hadn’t heard of that band before. They’ve sure been going a long time.

I’ve not long checked out Under the Blade, I Wanna Rock and We’re not Gonna Take It. Liking all three so far and plan to check out more stuff.

That’s good to know!

Love this Bonjovi song from the These Days album:

I get the impression it’s not played as often as some of their others.

Fun fact. Jamaican Brits invented fast rap in the mid 80s. We LA people like to pretend that those Good Life dudes did it and everyone is copying us. We were wrong.
Nah son...
