Hello.

So I just got my 3 replies in and I thought I'd introduce myself. I've actually been on the forum before, I was called "Obadiah" back then (hopefully I won't regret admitting that) but that was years ago and I've completely forgotten my account info.

last time I left it was to take a job as a youth pastor. Fast forward to today, I've left my post as a Youth Pastor and am now working with college students on campus at a University in Kansas.

I'm theologically moderate, and am passionate about social justice issues and leveraging the church for the betterment of humankind.

Good to see you all again!

Hello, and welcome back.
Truthfinder:the birds adapt and change through million of years in order to survive ,is that science, then cats should evolve also wings to better catch the birds
Mailbag:On a side note, back in college before my conversion, I actually saw a demon sitting next to me in critical thinking class.

You don't say!  The coincidences mount: I was a student at a University in Kansas!  We may have even been in the same IVCF chapter, although my senior year was '79 so I doubt we know the same people.  Still, maybe.  Does the name Ben Friesen ring a bell?  PM me if you're curious.
I stopped believing for a little while this morning. Journey is gonna be so pissed when they find out...

Welcome back to the board. I'd be interested in what you mean by theologically moderate, what that entails exactly, if you've got a second.
There’s no difference between a bunch of theologians sitting around debating scripture than a bunch of D&D nerds sitting around debating which version of the Player’s Handbook to use.

Welcome back.  Can you say "social justice" without Glenn Beck getting all over your a$$?
Yo, put that in your pipe and smoke it.  Quit ragging on my Lord.

Well for example. My answer to the title question "Why won't God heal Amputees?" Is "because he doesn't heal much of anybody miraculously, the stories we all hear are wrong"

Well, then let me ask a very impertinent question right here at the start of your return journey.

What good is such a god?

Welcome, UniversityPastor. :)
The cosmos is also within us. We are made of star stuff.

The only thing bigger than the universe is humanity's collective sense of self-importance.

Glad to meet you here.  When I entered Vanderbilt University I was an atheist, and the on-campus Methodist minister played at least as large a role as anybody else in my conversion.  So you're doing good work and I'm sure a great many young people have you to thank for many things.  Keep it up!

Welcome back.

As I recall, Obadiah was kind of a pill.  You seem to have matured some.  Good for you.

Why would it take others to help you think critically, learn and be honest?

What the hell is the matter with you?
You believe evolution and there is no evidence for that. Where is the fossil record of a half man half ape. I've only ever heard about it in reading.

I find people confident in delusion to be offensive. Whatareyagonnado, right?
