This thread is wide open, anything goes. I would like to use this thread to answer or address questions about my beliefs. I am doing this because some of the conversations I have had with other members have taken place on threads not started by me and the questions started straying from the OP's topic. I don't like 'interrupting' other peoples conversations so feel free to ask me anything you want, talk about anything you want on this thread.

I am about to start classes so I may not be able to reply promptly but, I will reply.

How do you determine which parts are not?

I hold the bible very suspect. It may or may not have been divinely inspired, either way it was written by man. Then edited. Translated, rewritten, re-translated and all for what? Power? Control? For that matter I hold organized religions suspect. I don't trust anyone who keeps trying to take my money.

I like to think that there is. I don't know that there is. I think of god as the source of all matter but not so much as an individual being with a vested interest in our well being or demise.

Yeah pretty close. According to this thread I am a bastard mix between agnostic pantheist and agnostic deist or as I like to call it, agnostic pandeist. To be honest, until I joined this forum I had no idea where I fit in. I am slowly figuring out how to define my position and put words to my thoughts.

Here's an idea.  Try out the strongest level of atheism.  You'll never look back.  All you have to do is treat people kindly, take care of yourself, and on rare occasions, eat a small baby. -

Oh, and you may have to stay inside during the day, and keep your distance from churches - I've seen some atheists spontaneously combust when they've gotten too close.

I live in the bible belt...like, in the buckle of the bible belt. I have to drive by 6 or 7 churches before I get into town. In town there is a church on every other block.
