A real miracle and proof of God - God gave this man a pair of cowboy boots to the man’s exact specifications
How do people become religious and come to believe in the power of prayer? Here is one example:
True story - God reached down out of heaven and gave this man a pair of cowboy boots that met the man’s exact specification for the kind of cowboy boots he wanted. This proves that God is real and is acting supernaturally in our world. Here is the story of how it happened:
In case of tl;dr - Man’s name is Rod Francey. Man begins to seek God. Man reads Bible. Man sees Luke 6:38 = “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Man thinks, “Give and it will be given, let’s try it out.” Man decides he will go buy food at a store and give it to a food bank. Previously, man had specifically fantasized about a pair of cowboy boots he wanted. His specifications: Black, full length, fancy stitching, pointy toes but not too pointy, low heel, size 10 1/2. Just after buying the food, man finds a pair of cowboy boots to that exact specification in a trash can. Man’s conclusion at 5:30:
It just suddenly hit me. Like a ton of bricks. It really got me. I began to realize something. I looked inside the boots. My size - size 10 1/2. These are the boots. And by the way these boots I’m holding up are the exact same boots from over 15 years ago. I’ve worn them many times. These are the very same boots I pulled out of the garbage can in Fairview mall. I’ve got them right here. It suddenly dawned on me that these were put there by God. The had to be! What were the odds of me, for the first time in my life, giving in accordance and obedience to Jesus and the word of God, going into a mall, going in there, and looking in a garbage can, the first one I look at, and there’s the cowboy boots fitting all the exact specifications. Black, high cut, fancy stitching, pointy toe, heel not too high, my size. It just hit me. I mean, it began to mess me up. Right there in the mall. I was getting messed up. I said hold on a second. You mean God’s not some guy sitting in the clouds, the big by and by? He actually hears and answers our prayers? He’s actually intimate with the details of our lives? I’ve never even told anyone about that. I’ve never even said that prayer out loud. Yet here are the boots in my hand. I began to explain this to my girlfriend and she didn’t even know what to say.
I’m telling you, I couldn’t sleep for a month. The God of the universe heard and obeyed my prayer. Now you say, well, what God was it? All I know is that the God of the Bible answered my prayer and he’s been continually answering them ever since that day…
Now listen. I want to say something to you now. There are a lot of people out there who have become closed to the supernatural existence of a supernatural God who can do miracles. That thought, that notion, has been ridiculed and mocked mercilessly on YouTube by people who have embraced an evolutional, atheistic mindset. And I want to read a quick scripture for you right now. Here’s what it is. It is from Colossians verse 2:8. It says this: “Beware, lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world…”
Do not be cheated by the empty traditions according to the basic philosophy. Don’t let anybody tell you there is not a supernatural God. You could spend a lifetime studying this planet - all the rocks, the grand canyon, the strata, the geologic column, all of these things. You can look at the DNA and all of the information locked in the DNA strands, and in the cellular, the nanocellular technology, and you know what? That will not tell you that the Big Bang happened. That will not tell you that there is not a supernatural God.
Listen, Mr. Dawkins and your God Delusions. I want to tell you right now. You are deluded. There is a supernatural. You don’t have to go too far to find millions and millions of people who will give you testimonies of the supernatural, unexplainable things happening in their lives.
Which begs the obvious question, Rod Francey: Why won’t God heal amputees? Why are there tens of thousands of children who will die of starvation today all around the world, while God delivers to you the exact pair of cowboy boots you wanted?
Mr. Francey, simply look at the world around you. If God is real, and God is actually delivering your trivial cowboy boots to you, what sort of heinous monster-god is this? For him to listen to you while he ignores the millions who are suffering and dying today from starvation, disease, war, torture, crime, natural disasters…. Your God is an abomination. If you would simply think about the reality of our world, it would be obvious to you that your boots (assuming the story is true, and has not been embellished, and does not involve false memories) are a coincidence.
Try this Mr. Francey: Pray to your God tonight. Ask Him to deliver to you a simple means to feed the world tomorrow. Ask him to deliver to you the cure for cancer tomorrow. Ask him to restore all the lost limbs caused by amputations and birth defects tomorrow. These prayers are no different from a prayer for cowboy boots to your all-powerful, supernatural God. Yet none of those prayers will come true because they cannot be answered by coincidence. This is how intelligent people know that your God is imaginary.
