An interesting book

Here is an encyclopedia that discusses just about every “unexplained thing” people have ever come up with, including religion:

The Gale Encyclopedia of the unusual and unexplained – Volume 1

The Gale Encyclopedia of the unusual and unexplained – Volume 2

The Gale Encyclopedia of the unusual and unexplained – Volume 3

Chapter 1 contains:

How the Major Religions View
the Afterlife . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 4
Buddhism. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 5
Christianity . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 8
Hinduism . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 10
Islam . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 12
Judaism . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 14

By the end of the book it is way out in UFO land.

    Hmmmm…looks like someone cares nothing about copyright and has posted this encyclopedia to the Net without concern for legality. These links will likely break before too long when Gale discovers the violation.

    Jim. agreed. I did some looking around and I don’t see any kind of authorization on the eso-garden.com site that shows the PDFs as being distributed legally.

    For reference, here is the blog entry that contains the links;

    http://www.eso-garden.com/index.php?/weblog/comments/the_gale_encyclopedia_of_the_unusual_and_unexplained/

    As far as I can see, one person plexus(?) provided the initial links and the eso-garden blogger copied them locally. The only other site with the file is oneclickfiles.com / rapidshare.com. To get that, I did a search using Google and the string (with quotes);

    “the_gale_encyclopedia_of_the_unusual_and_unexplained_vol_3.pdf”
