The pope doubles down on his insanity

In the prior post it becomes obvious that the pope is insane:

The pope is now certifiably insane – proof that God is imaginary

Now the pope plans to align with others who share his insanity:

Pope signals inter-faith alliance against gay marriage

Pope Benedict on Friday signaled the Vatican was ready to forge alliances with other religions against gay marriage, saying the family was threatened “to its foundations” by attempts to change its “true structure”.

The pope has no evidence for this. His approach is based in hate. Now, in his hate and insanity, the pope strives to find other hatemongers:

In some countries, the Catholic Church has already joined forces with Jews, Muslims and members of other religions to oppose the legalization of gay marriage, in some cases presenting arguments based on legal, social and anthropological analyses rather than religious teachings.

The pope expects the world to tolerate his insanity, but has no tolerance himself. The pope projects hate, and expects the freedom to do so, while denying freedom to others. This is a consistent mark of religious thinking.

Where in the bible does Jesus say “hate your neighbor”?

Now great crowds accompanied him, and he turned and said to them, “If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple.

It seems the Koreans, the Muslim brotherhood, Russians and Chinese are much more worthy than a pope who believes gay marriage is wrong. Big deal, gays have never been allowed to marry. Its not new and the pope is just one of many.

“Big deal, gays have never been allowed to marry.”

Then why do they keep trying to ban gay marriages? You’re a typical theist, talking out of your ass.

Read Roman history and don’t even start the shit about gay marriages causing the Roman downfall.

Also, read up on the Church’s stance on the Earth being the center of the universe. How did that go?

Laughable in terms that they’ll say or do anything to get their own way? Being self-centered and hypocritical is the religious way though, isn’t it?

This is a very interesting analysis of Christian religion as illuminated brilliantly by Dostoevsky:

    http://opinionator.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/12/23/the-freedom-of-faith-a-christmas-sermon/?ref=opinion

It is one step beyond the tree of knowledge problem; peace and happiness can exist through an adoption of existential nihilism- the flavor du jour being Christianity.

Of course the Pontifex Maximus, or one of the Oriental primates depending on your location, necessarily has the only opinion worth having.

sorto like interracial marriages, amen? how you yearn for the good ole days? when the blackies knew they place, the mexicans weeded the garden, and the women stayed home?

To those who wonder why the poster is so “preoccupied” with the pope: consider that there are more than one billion Roman Catholics. It is a tenet of Catholicism that the Pope’s official decrees are infallible and every clergy member takes an oath of obedience to him. Only some Catholics actually accept Papal infalability, but he still bears a huge influence over hundreds of millions of people. If he made the simple declaration that condoms were not immoral, enormous amounts of suffering would be relieved. Same goes for homosexuality, masturbation, divorce, abortion, and euthenasia. I ask, “who in their right mind would not be just a bit interested in the things this man says?”

RC is but one of many sock puppets used by a prolific troll here. He asks his “questions” to try to divert attention by discrediting the OP. Tom is also one of his identities.

It seems that the catholic church is reacting to its decline by trying to flex its muscles. Too bad they want to act as if they are still living in the dark ages.

BTW, does anyone know if the RC church/pope regards masturbation as a grave sin? If it does, then me and hundreds of people I know are going to hell.

    @18
If I’m not mistaken, masturbation is a “grave matter.” However, the Catholic Church doesn’t necessarily say you go to hell for committing one of these acts. They would more likely use wishy washy language like, “masturbation keeps you from fully experiencing God’s love.”

A lot of Catholics don’t realize that missing Church on Sunday and a few other holidays is among the list of mortal sins. There is hardly a person alive who is fully compliant the demands of Catholicism.

and I’ve no doubt that the Pontiff and the vast majority of the clergy will be joining you in masturbation purgatory. Hey, if you can ass rape little kids and still get off with “sorry, my bad”, and 10 Hail Marys… rubbing one out now and then can’t be so bad either. Just make sure you tell your smelly, alcoholic pastor all about it though, in detail, in that musty little confessional box. Just realize he’s probably rubbing one out while he’s listening to you! hahaha
