Christians beat Middle School Student because of her name

What is it about Christianity (and religion in general) that causes such huge, senseless bigotry and violence?

Middle School Student Beaten Because of Her Name

FAST FACTS:
* 12-year-old girl at Hernando Middle School was attacked by fellow students.
* The attackers said the victim’s name, Randi, was a ‘boy name’.
* No charges were filed because police were not called.

(Hernando, MS 11/4/10) – A 12-year-old girl was beaten by fellow students at Hernando Middle School on Wednesday, ostensibly because of her masculine-sounding name.

Randi Foster is a four-foot-nine student who doesn’t go looking for trouble. But on Wednesday morning at school, she ran into plenty of it.

After a Fellowship of Christian Students meeting, four girls and a boy surrounded her.

“They started talking about me like I was a man, and like, stuff like that. That I shouldn’t be in this world. And my name was a boy name,” she said.

Foster described how these people attacked her.

“I was kicked in the rib. I was kicked in the leg. I was hit in the face. I was sat on top of and my face was jammed into the floor. I was thrown onto the cafeteria table. I was thrown in between the seats.”

Her mother, Meggan Foster, is appalled at the whole ordeal.

Couldn’t find the article so obviously nothing to it. However, how do they know the kids came out of the FCS meeting? Assumption? yes. lol

IF she was beat up so bad, why not file charges? LOL, nice try thomas!

I teach middle school students at a Charter School. Many of the kids have come from religious schools and/or Christian brand home schooling. I’m surprised at how often stories of abuse come up. I think it’s more than obvious that religion does not make people more moral; they just imagine they are more moral than those who don’t believe as they do.

    Hor,
Are you totally incapable of thinking, logic, research? You really aren’t capable of grasping simple concepts, are you? No wonder you jump from “god created the universe” to “jesus is my saviour”.

Try typing something as “hernando MS randi beaten” as a Google search. Just, as you say, USE COMMON SENSE. You truly are dense.

As a bonus, check out this link for further information of how Xtians treat fellow humans.

    LOL!

Anon I typed it in and all I got was bloggers. Do you consider bloggers to be news Anon? I also didn’t read any reports on their religion.

Good point by Hor. If this is real they need to be prosecuted but yet…….no. Here is real news!

    Rostam,
    Anon was I.

You seemingly also suffer from HUYA syndrome. Like poor old Hor, you’re good at research…NOT. The blogs are talking about the news, it’s often what blogs do. You should check them out once in a while ;-) .

Rosie, old boy, did you notice I typed “something as” just before the suggested word search? You are free to do your own research, don’t just blindly follow my directions – I am not your pastor.

I know how badly you want the jesus man-god myth to be true. I know it’s easy to do when all you do is follow blindly along the same path as poor old Hor. Are you also a born again? Like Hor, trying, yet failing, to find science to support your system of beliefs? Good luck with that, my friend.

    LOL, I should have known!

Hey, help out poor old Rosta. Give me a NEWS link. I’m not your blogmaster so I can’t provide you with your news. As for me, I rely on reliable sources!

    You should have stayed anony-mouse.

Oh, nice try on the old change the subject.

Just because it’s you, here is your link. Yes it’s a blog. Check out their video link to some channel 3 news site. They, channel 3, even interviewed the little girl, Randi.

Uh huh, a blog. Seems if this was a big story it would be EVERYWHERE. I must say she doesn’t look like she was beaten. I didn’t see a thing about the religion of these kids so is this just another hate act that Christians deal with all over the world? You do realize not all who go to FCS functions are Christian, right? ZDo we know they came out of the function?

Where are the witnesses? Do we no longer have innocent until proven guilty? No, you are assuming much.

My daughter has a good friend named Randi and they both play sports. No problems.

Where are the story of fat kids, kids with glasses, smart kids, poor kids, etc being bullied? The stories are absolutely everywhere. It is difficult to take a blogger seriously when they attempt to only provide posts that support their presuppositions.

If I had ever had a kid that did that to another kid,..(i don’t have kids) that kid would be disciplined to my standards,..what ever I decided,….grounded for a year or stay home after school for a year or what ever I wanted to do,..after all the individual is my kid. That was a stupid reason for beating a kid.Now on the other hand,…my granny is in a nursing and she was sexully abused,…I wouldn’t do anything to those kids if they had beat a rapist the way that poor girl was beaten.
