There are many Christian extremists out there, but these don’t count for the whole Christian community.

Gotta love that “throw my Christian brethren under the bus” mentality!
What’s the difference between your Christianity and that of the “extremists”? Can you show, using the Bible (for instance, or however you think that we can know the will and nature of God) that their theology is wrong and that yours is right?
Didn’t think so.
The only difference between an extremist and a moderate is that extremists actually take their religion seriously.

That’s a ridiculous statement. There are extremists in most areas of life. An example would be a pro-life “Christian” extremist who decides in order to stop abortion they need to blow up an abortion clinic, when God gives the commandment of thou shalt not murder.
A pro-life Christian would try to use logic and reason to explain why abortion is wrong. They’d fight with words, not bombs and murdering others.
Which one seems to take their religion more seriously? The one who murders or the one who doesn’t.
