The insanity of Islam must end – Support Draw Muhammad Day on May 20

This video explains just how insane the Islamic faith has become, and why it must end:

By supporting Draw Muhammad Day on May 20, you support free speech, enlightenment, and the end of the barbaric tradition that is Islam.

I was under the impression the creator of the comic backed down, and isn’t going to attend the event.
Are we still going to draw Muhammad?

As much as I detest Islam and what it stands for, I see no reason to purposely offend a whole group of people. It accomplishes nothing other than violence. Battles must be picked wisely.

The point of the protest is to demonstrate that no group (religious, government, atheist group, doesn’t matter who) has the right to tell other people what art to draw.

To Hell with Them! Europe needs to rid itself of this blight. The US needs to stop it too. I am already practicing the most vulgar and offensive towel-head caricatures for the day.

If I were a better artist, I would go for a cartoon with a wild-eyed flabby old bearded man, neatly wrapped towel on head of course, with an Islamic crescent shaped woody raping from behind the 9 year-old A’isha who he took as his last wife. Hopefully this wonderful image will spark an artist’s interest. It is a nice metaphor for what Islam is doing to the world.

It is a blight that must be stopped. Of course, root causes for militant Islam need to be addressed as well. That opens another front taking on the Israel-no-matter-what lobbies too.

Which is what I am practicing in not drawing Mo in spite of the video. If I had some deep desire as Observer does to draw Mo, I would do so is spite of Muslims. I don’t let this stupidity change my real desires.

    Draw Mo if you must.

Draw Mohammad Day sends a message to the Muslims that if they threaten violence against non-believers, then it’s only only going to cause more of the thing they’re trying to prevent, which is blasphemy. I am all for it.

Indeed, a very childish means of conveying a message. You think this will change anything? No. It will merely feed your own ego’s; the thought of “rebelling” against the “vile that is Islam” which is so deeply rooted in the narcissistic values so prominent in our culture today.

Your very premise is rooted in “[absolute] freedom of the self” – the freedom of speech, freedom of choice and so forth.

Interestingly, this is rooted in “radical liberalism” – yes RADICAL. Look up the history of liberalism, and you’ll quickly understand that it is not a universal truth.

As a rationalist, I would rather invest in argumentation and voicing logical and meaningful opinions/expression rather than insulting BS. My philosophy is this: if you have a logical argument, bring it to the table, and we shall discuss. Not: if you have BS, bring it to the table in the name of “freedom of speech.”

Do this if you must, even in light of knowing it merely serves to feed yourself. Anything it is symbolic of fails to change this. It will not drastically change the political and social dynamics of this world, or the Muslim world.

    With Peace
