So very true, but why? Why don’t Christians love their neighbors?

Click here to see an painfully true T-shirt:

Love Thy Neighbor T-shirt

In giant letters it says, “LOVE THY NEIGHBOR”. But when you zoom in to read between the lines, it lists all the exclusions:

LOVE THY NEIGHBOR unless he/she is gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, liberal, muslim, new age, atheist, buddhist, hindu, jewish, mormon, wiccan, too fat, too thin, homeless, an alcoholic, a drug addict, a rapper

an unwed mother, a pregnant teen, has sex before marriage… has blue hair, a mohawk, body piercings, black nail polish, different beliefs…

As a general rule, fundamentalist and evangelical Christians can be incredibly intolerant and unloving of anyone who does not believe what they believe, in defiance to what Christ teaches (e.g. love your enemy).

How do Christians live with the hypocracy? Why do they not actually listen to their teacher?

This video is relevant – “Why does every intelligent Christian disobey Jesus?”:

    What a “christian love”!

Tollerance is societies together, not love. Especially not that type of “love”.
I would say: do not necessaryly love them but tollerate them and help them if/when necessary.

Get necessary help even to those wearing such “I-love-you-a-christian-way” T-shirts!

More “christian” than expected from christians?
    So be it!

The problem is secularist-atheist christian bashers do not understand the difference between love and acceptance. One can love a homosexual but why must they acknowledge lifestyle as OK? Must they also accept adultery and liars OK as well? Atheist want everyone to be robots believing everything in their terms. It is such a silly childish worldview.

In comparative studies liken it to the atheist who spend most of their waking moments preaching against Christians and not being tolerant.

Who would be tolerant of voluntary stupidity and gullibility? It’s not like you can’t change your beliefs to fit the facts.

Religious people obviously spend most of their waking moments spying on beds of their neighbors:is he/she homo, did he/she do adultery, is he/she masturbating, having marriage sex before marriage….
    Prity disgusting!

Just compare atheist “preachings” with thousands of years of propaganda of each single religion that ever existed on this world!
And compare religious “tollereance”, starting from biblical slaughterings of children, over inquisition and burning people, to “jihad” and 9/11, to tollerance of atheists.
    Not comparable? Of course not!
If I saw you drowning, I would jump to save you, even if I saw you wearing this ugly T-shirt.Neither before nor after I jump, I would ever ask what was your religion, were you a homo, did you have sex before marriage….

No follower of Jesus would spy on anyone lets get that straight first. Jesus teaches us to look past the sin and see the sinner now matter where they’re at. If you take the Bible seriously science backs it all up. The cost of not becoming a christian is far greater than the cost of becoming one.

Apologize for interfering, but for which of many gods recognized today by billions, would you need „facts“ about its (his? her?) non-existance?
Let’s first see who is the valid one (and WHY that one, and not the another), then let’s talk arguments.
For example, Jesus was not Allah’s son, and I am not able to orient myself among so many gods.
    Too confusing!

Although christian (catholic) by origin, I started to think with my own brain when I was 8 or 9 (and it was some 57 years ago!), in spite of (poor) efforts of my grandies to keep me not thinking but only believing.
Although catholics, they did not beat me when I asked them very unconveniant questions, such as “why is our god better than muslim’s one?“, or „in what way does evangelist’s god differ from ours?“ (beside several catholic, there was an evangelistic church in my place too, just near my house)
They smiled (were unusually tollerant, for which I am thankfull all my life).

So, which YHWH? Jewish one, from which „our“ was „developed“, „our“ one, „developed“ from Jewish religion, or – why not Allah?
The „arguments“ are always the same! „Our religion is the best one because we say so!“
Whatever based on believing without arguments/evidences is not for me, thanks.

„Okam’s Razor“ rule states that any solution/explaination should not be any more complicated than necessary to solve the problem.
That means, for example: if one sees 50 big fallen trees in the middle of a forest in Rocky Mauntains, why would one try to explaint it by invasion of ET-s, why not by strong wind?

It was inevitable to imagine/invent unnatural forces ruling the world 10 or 15,000 years ago, when first religions appeared, or only 500 -1000 y. ago, when most of phenomenons surrounding us were unexplained, and many of them were deterrent.

Religions were developed thousand years before anyone mantioned YHWH!
Thousands of gods „existed“ before YHWH was invented!
Some of them „ruled“ for very long periods – so why weren’t THEY the right ones? Why Jahve?
Do you think Persia or China had no gods several 1000 of years before YHWH was invented by Jews?
All religions, all the time, were closly connected to ruling eilites; they suppressed sciences, induced wars, and kept adherents as deep in ignorance and obedience as possible, usually by raw force and cruelty. No religion was ever, at any society, a progressive force.

So, why would we need religions and priests to „explain“ us things which science invents and explains them today in ways they WORK.
Why would I need one more good, which lasted a few years longer (if!) than Persian, Chines or Maya gods, or the muslim god (but shorter than Jewish one)?
Why would I need biblical bullshits to explain anything to me?

There is no, and there will probably never be direct evidences that there is no god, as it is logically impossible.
It just does not „fit“ anywhere any more, and if you see bullshits explaining and supporting his existance, compared to nice and logical explanations that sciences offer, Okam’s Razor sounds much more logical: nature, not god.

Besides, one who does not believe there is god, has nothing to prove. Ones claiming there is god… times came not to force us to just believe it, but to PROVE their claims, not to sound silly.
So, where are your proofs that god does exist?
Give me some arguments, make me trust it by arguments, not by force or superstitious stupidities.

  14. on 13 Jan 2010 at 6:47 pm 14.Ian said …

“Okam’s Razor“ rule states that any solution/explaination should not be any more complicated than necessary to solve the problem.”
Doesn’t apply here since the origins of the universe remain unknown. This argument does not prove no God with FACTS. Here is why.

We all observe that skeptics and scientists alike wield the razor like a broadsword. To these people it proves one theory and disproves another. There are two problems with using Occam’s razor as a tool to prove or disprove an explanation. One, determining whether or not something is simple (say, empirical evidence) is subjective meaning it’s up to the individual to interpret its simplicity. Two, there’s no evidence that supports the notion that simplicity equals truth.

It’s important to remember that the idea attributed to Aristotle says that perfection is found in simplicity is a man-made idea. It’s not supported by math or physics or chemistry. And yet, it’s taken by some as factual.

Do you have any FACTS as stated by Bleu?

  15. on 13 Jan 2010 at 8:10 pm 15.Severin said …

“Do you have any FACTS as stated by Bleu?”
Bleu: “It’s not like you can’t change your beliefs to fit the facts.”

I do not see here any claims about facts supporting the nonexistance of god, from Bleu’ side.
I see here the same I claim: religions do not fit facts/reality.
No „facts“ proving that there is no god, if you mean evidences in accordance to science and logic.
If I was first to claim 2000 years ago that there was a yellow kettle orbiting earth which must be worshiped, and if that „religion“ survived untill today, how would you prove me wrong? Even today?
    No way!
And why would a yellow kettle be less reasonable to accept as an omnipotent god than biblical god(or any other god), observed form todays position?
That was EXACTLY what happened with most religions: they declared serpents, sun, moon, etc as “gods”, untill finally someone invented a “one and the real god“, probably because for some reasons it was politically and psyhologcally more acceptble at that moment, than polytheism.
This religion „survived“, but how? It splited to many different religions, each of them claiming to be „the only real one“.
I can only point the existing facts (scientific accomplishments) are more and more making all religions senseless and silly.
However, there is great difference between having a “feeling” (a personal belief) that something unnatural is “involved” in creation of universe, and organised religions trying to “sell” bulshits and poisoning people with their “facts” that do not fit anything.
Money is in the game here!
They (organized religions) are more and more losing their power (read: money), and that aches!

Some organzed religions are becoming aware of their unfitting reality, and what are they doing (like elephants in a glass shop): they are sneaking arround science, accepting (stealing!) some of their accomplishments, but trying to keep people believing that the first cause of everything is god.

If they recognize Big Bang, but claim god caused it, fine, but what to do with all biblical bullshits they still keep as „god’s words“.
How does a god who caused Big Bang fit to biblical god –they do not explain, and there, of course, is no explanation.
So they are slowly, silently and maliciously GIVING UP their teachings, and accepting something that will make them less stupid and more acceptable for people which today know more than yesterday.
    Money, money!

  16. on 13 Jan 2010 at 8:37 pm 16.Ian said …

Ok, you don’t have FACTS to prove God does not exist as Bleu claims. No problem, when a claim is made I expect the some evidence.

“Ok, you don’t have FACTS….No problem, when a claim is made I expect the some evidence.”

You are so predictible! I anticipated and wrote your answer almost exactly you wrote it (I missed your „Ok“ and wrote an “Oh” instead), to my daughter, who is now laughing (not maliciously).

However, I DO ADMIT I am unable to offer any direct and formal evidences (facts, as you call them) for anyone’s/anything’s non-existance.
I can not prove even dragons do not exist! Nobody can.
What I can say is that dragons (and gods) DO NOT FIT the facts surrounding us.
It does not make those facts EVIDENCES for dragon’s non-existance, but if something does not fit anywhere, there is an extreme probability it is unreal (claim not formally proven, I admit!).
Start to train logic trying to prove negative claims, to see how impossible it is.
Try to prove me or someone else dragons don’t exist!

Now, why would the same logic be valid for dragons but not for gods?
    Because you say so?

If I claimed dragons DO exist, then it would be stupid just to trust me without any evidences. It would be normal and justified to request evidences, beacause POSITIVE CLAIMS CALL FOR ECIDENCES, and without evidences they are NOTHING.
How and why would anyone trust I. Newton, A. Einstein, S. Howking, M. Curie, G. Galilei,…..without evidences?

Do you claim god does exist?
    Evidences, please!

Here is a 1996 quote from Pope John Paul II:
Today, almost half a century after the publication of [Pius XII’s] Encyclical, fresh knowledge has led to the recognition that evolution is more than a hypothesis……

The Catholic Church also officially supports the Big Bang theory because it agrees with their theological position that time itself began at creation. By the way, when I refer to “creationists” in this pamphlet, I mean people who don’t believe in standard science. The Pope certainly believes the universe was created by God, but he is not a “creationist” in this sense.

But they are still keeping the Bible! They did not withdraw it. Bible is still a “word of god” and the very fundament of christianity – or isn’t it, or what?
THAT is malicious, because it is obvious to anyone with a grain of brain, that a “god’ who created the B.B. has nothing to do with a “god” who made a man from mud and a women from his rib, then based the development of the entire human race on unnatural incestous relations among their children, then asked people to prepare him offerings of burnt meat, then ordered murders beacause he was jalous to golden calf, then made wine from water to prove he was a god (Jesus = god, or not?), then……ridiculous!
15 billions of years after created the B.B., the same god finds oportune to prove he was a god to a bunch of Hebros, by transfering water to wine!
Isn’t it sneaking? Let us keep Bible for fools, let us not make too much noice about shits we were “teaching” for the last 2000 years (and killed millions for those teachings!) but let also be as close as possible to science. It is oportune today. And it is, of course, profitable!
So, which one of their gods is the right one? The “mud god” or the “B.B. god”?
How can anyone trust such fickle organisation?

The liberal agenda has destroyed the traditional family and is bringing the United States and the rest of the world down. Where do you think all the terrorism, rapes, child rapes and murders come from. It’s not from GOD worshiping families. They come from all the sexual perverts and the aliens within our borders. But to be politically correct every filthy, perverted, lowdown lifestyle has to be accepted. Except the traditional family. It’s not cool anymore to be a hard working man with a wife that manages the household and sons that don’t wear their pants around their knees or daughters that don’t sleep around and get pregnant at 13. Before you put down and deny GOD and JESUS CHRIST you need to read the BIBLE. But I guess you would rather think you decended from a filthy ape than to confess GOD. Common sense will tell you that but then again this nation has lost all of that. It’s a real shame. I really feel bad for all of the lost people in this world. Someday they WILL understand the truth. Thank you so much “help us”. I loved you comments.

Severin do you have anything to add to “help us’s” remarks?

If you are fully open to truth you will see it in the passage above. God is love. And He is all GOOD.

I am wondering perhaps, Severin, if you have never truly met a good Christian.

Well, i am one, and if you would like to ask questions please do. I will tell you a little about my self. I have been Catholic all my life and there was a time when i went through some doubts weather i was in the right church or not. But the more i learned about my faith, the more i knew it was the full truth, and i began to fall in love with it because it brought me closer to God.

It was not too long ago that i didn’t live my life fully for God. I was living it more for myself as most people do these days. And it is a terrible tragety to do so. Living for yourself enslaves you own being to your will and you become blind from it. That is how i was, blind to what is good and seeking and never finding. But one night i truly found, and i found God. Even though i believed in Him all my life, i never actually found Him, but He had found me.

I was praying one night, and i asked why i was so far from Him. I felt empty inside and was seeking what is good. He actually spoke to me, and said “I Love You My Child”. Then immediately after i saw myself in Heaven and i was little with bouncy, curly blond hair, about 3 or4 years old. And i ran to Jesus and lept in His arms. Joy consumed me. I say i felt such an amount of love i could never in a thousand years imagine there could be such a love. I felt i would die from it because my soul wanted to fully be with Him.

Now this was something no Einstein’s mind could of produced. Because it wasn’t of the world but of God in Heaven. I also experienced the Holy Spirit that night. I lie in my bed gasping for air because of such a love that i felt. I felt so unworthy of such goodness. The air i breathed suddenly changed and my body actually began to change.I felt it from the tips of my toes to my nose. i cannot descibe the feeling because it wasn’t of the earth but of something much better. I felt God moving through me and this was actually a physical change, which may be more of what your looking for as far as “proof” is concerned. My eyes also beheld ,faintly, saints, who witnessed this act of God.

I was truely blessed that night and i will never forget it. The next morning my whole life had shifted, i don’t know if that whole thing lasted hours or seconds that night but it changed me. i went out into the world the next morning and God was truly present with in me. I felt Him and He spoke to me of several occasions that day. I saw the world through His eyes. I saw what made Him joyful, and what hurt His Heart Deeply.

I’ve grown to know Him since that day and i love Him with my whole heart. and i know Him. He is all good and all merciful. I beg you to open you heart even just a little so you may find Him too.

He is my papa, my bestfriend, the love of my life, my God, and much more. I live my life fully for Him now and i am happier than ever. I love others much more than i ever could before. I love them because we are sibblings of God,yet i don’t love thier sins. Living life for God is a joyous thing, it has stuggles, but that is to make us stronger.
    Please, open you heart.

    God Bless,

“…Severin, if you have never truly met a good Christian.”
I did, a lot of them, including my beloved (late) grandies, but I also met many good muslims, good atheists….
It has nothing to do with christianity, or with any religion, otherwise all the others, except christians should be “immoral” by default.
And they are not ALL immoral!
As well as all christians are not moral!
    Where are we then?
Morality is obviously NOT matter of any religion!

An idea that people not believing in any god are uatomaticlly immoral, is immoral by itself.
I an atheist, but it makes me in no way a bad human being: I am not aggressive at all, I love my daughter and loved my parents, I have excellent friends which I all love, I am against any wars, and against any violence and force generally, I love animals and get a stress when a sparrow hits my car, I never threaten to anybody, I help people by any ocasion I can (for example teaching math young students without money)…
I just do not believe in any supernatural being/event, beacuse I understood very early that what Bible has to say, and what priests have to say, does not fit anything surrounding me, especially scince.
My daughter was not baptized and never had any contact with any religion, and all I can wish to anyone is to have such a good person for a daughter or son or parent or friend: responsible, sensitive to violence and to any sort of injustice, workholic, full of love and confidence, reliable…she is really a GOOD person.
It is obvious that religion does NOT influence the morality of a person, but some other factors do.

But do you have comments on my own experience? Do you think me mentally ill, to converse constantly with THE God i love?
Please let me hear you thoughts on the matter :)
“but I also met many good muslims, good atheists….”

Concerning religions, you have asked many times about how you know there is a real religion, when they all claim to have the truth. Well my response to that is that God is everywhere, and Satan is in many places too. There is one true church, the Catholic church that offers the fullness of the truth. I am not claiming all religions are wrong, nor the other forms of Christianity. The coming of Christ brought forth the fullness of the church, we then had the blessed trinity. Judism on many accounts was not wrong, but simply not complete, because the third of the Trinity had yet to be revealed.

Referring to other religions some are completely wrong and those are the churches that serve satan and all that is immoral and wrong. Others are partially right but not completely. They may follow some of the covenants of God but otherwise are mislead, by satan who hopes to destroy a universal church (catholic church), and wishes to tear it to shreds with his teeth.
Even polytheistic religions didn’t have it all wrong. If they experienced any form of peace and joy then it was from the one true God, but since they were not informed of such a being they gave thanks to false gods. And some might have recieved “imitations” of God from satan that in the end hurts the person more than heals them.

As for you and your daughter,i applaud you. wether known or not, you are being what God wishes you to be. A good person. Why then, you ask would you need religion? Answer: Because it will complete you. You already have much, but why cut yourself short, of the resovoirs of love, joy, peace and of course the very popular eternal salvation.

Can i ask why it would harm you to truely see if i am wrong?? Test my theory, test my truth. Open you heart and ask if there really is a God for me. If there really is a God, then He is more real than anything life can produce, and if it is true, then He is waiting for you, begging you to simply look for Him, so you may see He is waiting with open arms. IF He is real, He is all good and He longs to show you His love and mercy.

I would be willing to give my life for Him and i hope that may assure you even in the smallest way, that He is true.

I can give you specific prophecies from the bible that show inteligent design. The 17th chapter of REVELATION tells of a scarlet woman and a scarlet beast. The woman, I will Explain at another time. The beast is a political system. It would take me hours to explain it all in writing,so I will just explain the ten horns. The ten horns are ten kings/kingdoms that will give their power to the beast/satan. This political system is now rising in Europe. I’ts called the European Union. And it will soon dominate world affairs,it is already starting. Numerous scriptures tell of the United States and the other english speaking nations going down and the E.U. rising up and taking our place.Don’t think what hitler did couldn’t happen again. It’s going to happen millions of times worse!!! This nation will go into captivity and be taken to other countries as slaves!!There will be 3 1/2 years of the most horrible war, famine, disease epidemics and natural disasters that there ever has been. Fully 2/3 of humanity is going to die. But there is an awesome reason for all this.Read Revelation chapters 19-22.Remember the gift of GOD is eternal life. GOD doesn’t want for anyone to perish but for all of us to turn to HIM and live.Following GODS commandments is not to much to ask for HIM giving us ETERNAL LIFE as SPIRIT BEINGS in the KINGDOM of GOD. Please remember my words in the months and years ahead[not very many more years] and turn to GOD with all your hearts and he will save you. THANK YOU…..

There are a few ways you can tell the true church.{1}commandment#2 Thou shall not make any graven image of anything to worship it.If you walk into a church and there are statues your in the wrong place.{2}Commandment #4 remember the sabbath day to keep it holy. Nowhere in the bible does it teach Sunday observance. CHRIST and the Apostles kept the sabbath {Saturday}. {3}The biblical HOLY Days. CHRIST and the Apostles kept the Passover,Days of Unleavened Bread,Pentecost,Feast of Trumpets,Day of Attonement,Feast of Tabernacles and the Last Great Day. They never kept Easter or Christmast. In fact CHRIST was not even born in December. {4}CHRIST’s message was about the KINGDOM of GOD not about Himself as most churches teach. And for all of you who think the COMMANDMENTS were nailed to the cross read [Matthew chapter 5 verses 17-20. and chapter 19 verse 17] CHRIST says if you want to enter into life keep the COMMANDMENTS. Then in verse 18 HE gives some examples. I hope I have not offended anyone that is not my intention. GOD says the wages of sin is death{and sin is defined as the transgression of the LAW}[THE COMMANDMENTS]but the gift of GOD is ETERNAL LIFE in CHRIST JESUS!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!

    Thomas, we love everyone.

We love gay people, lesbians, bisexuals, transgender people, rappers, and liberals. We love everyone.

We may not approve of their actions but we love them either way.

Nothing in the bible states anything about hating the people listed above, or anyone for that matter.

FYI, there are many Christian rappers and liberals.
