Preist advises his flock to shoplift

Are you feeling economically desperate and vulnerable? Shoplifting is an option to consider according to one priest:

Priest outrages police by telling congregation: ‘My advice to poor is to shoplift’

Father Jones told the congregation: ‘My advice, as a Christian priest, is to shoplift. I do not offer such advice because I think that stealing is a good thing, or because I think it is harmless, for it is neither.
‘I would ask that they do not steal from small family businesses, but from large national businesses, knowing that the costs are ultimately passed on to the rest of us in the form of higher prices.

This is a perfect example of how the religious can project anything they like onto their God:

The married father-of-two insisted his unusual advice did not break the Bible commandment ‘Thou shalt not steal’ – because God’s love for the poor outweighs his love for the rich.

See The “will of God” is whatever a believer wants it to be for more information

Note also that he offers no advice for what people should do once they get arrested for shoplifting. Strangely, society will offer no exemptions to the law, even though “God’s love for the poor outweighs his love for the rich.”

If God is so loving, why doesn’t he actually do something to help the poor?

No, just an example of a priest who is wrong.

Hey the Big O and his diminutive nit-wits can pay off states and rape the constitution and I would venture to guess most on the blog voted for him. I bet you will again.

Religion like politics have there nit wits. It doesn’t make the belief wrong. Hope this helps.

What crimes do you think priests will recommend next? Robbing banks? Pedophilia? Kiling abortion doctors? Stoning gays (unless they are pedophile priests, of course?) How about robbing the churches? Last I heard the Vatican is worth billions —lifting a few antique icons or taking money from the collection plate would be stealing from the rich wouldn’t it?

I love how the Curmudgeon blames Obama for raping the constitution.

Gee, the Republicans would never support anything unethical would they? —lie to start a war, imprison people without due process, limit our Constitutional Freedoms through the Patriot Act, spend all our international goodwill —to name a few.

Of course he has no idea that nonbelievers come in all ages, sizes, professions, and political views. I don’t think Obama is the perfect president. I have voted for Republicans and Democrats, but I would have voted for Goofy if he ran against a Republican after 8 years of Bush.

The thing I like about these two parties the most is when they get in power they justify their actions by pointing to the other party. Their little minions like Woods above run right beside them cheering them on and screaming “they do it! they do it!. Change we can believe in? ah yeah sure.

I would vote for Homer Simpson if he had any chance. Anything to take power away from these two black holes.

C Woods: the lesser of two evils is still evil. If Lenin ran against Hitler in an election, who would you vote for?
