Much like your delusion that you believe in a god. It’s not the truth. To speak semantically correct, one would have to say that you’re delusional, and not lying, because a lie is when you know you’re saying something that isn’t true.

However, we can safely say that you are delusional – meaning you believe and endorse something which is false, but you don’t know it’s false. You’re innocent, at least partially, of your ignorance. However, if you would allow yourself to realize that logic and reasoning is the only way we know anything, you might actually begin to see the “light”.

But the thing is, if the early disciples were lying – and if they knew they were lying – why did they die for their lie?

It only makes sense if they genuinely believed it to be true. And they claimed to be eyewitnesses.

“Free your mind with Faith.”

This statement is a contradiction in terms, and I will explain why. In a rational world, there are no contradictions. If contradictions arise, it indicates a failure at the level of the original premise: your mind may be freed by faith. That is the premise, but it spawns innumerable contradictions, perhaps the most heinous of which is the implication that a free mind is a mind that has suspended the faculty of reason. How could such a mind be, as you suggest, truly free?

Loi P has been subject to an inordinate amount of directed effrontery here and it is for obvious reasons, as his stand is a controversial one: reason trumps faith. Perhaps the single most trying component of his arguments is their logical nature: A is A. Loi P seeks to state the obvious after the method that has ennobled mankind from the dawn of consciousness; he, of his own volition, seeks to perceive the world dispassionately, experiment, form hypotheses, and collect data that is capable of either supporting or refuting said hypotheses. His is the scientific method; that method available only to mankind; that method which separates him absolutely from his savage ancestors. To truly glorify man is to perceive him in a rational light; to acknowledge his mind and his ability to use it rationally. He that would reject the dogmas that seek to cripple him and esteem reason is the truly free man. He has chosen to acknowledge certain absolutes: existence exists; I live therefore I must think. Faith, contrarily, would ask the same man to suspend reason, to discount facts, to accept a proposition that aims to humiliate the mind of man–to eviscerate the faculties inherent in man that have sought to achieve one thing: preserve life by championing reason.

Reason is the faculty that makes our earth habitable. It puts food on your table. It engineered the car with which you drive to your mega-church of choice. It developed the presses with which your holy books are printed, the robots by which they are bound. Take away reason and the champions of reason and you will be left to writing your scripture in the sand with a stick. Reason, ironically, is the tool that enables your faith. Faith does not feed your pastor; it does not feed your children. It is the technological advents of those willing and able to produce that create the motorized belts on which your dogmas are conveyed through time. Stop those conveyor belts and the men that make them, the power plants that power them, close the strip mine that feeds the power plants and your faith will go up in smoke. Your faith is dependent upon men of reason for its sustenance. “Free your mind with faith,” abandon reason to the slag heaps of knowledge, and your world will crumble before you and that will be your just earthly reward for staking everything on a suspect afterlife for which no evidence is possible. The price you are willing to exact on the men of reason to ensure your heavenly rewards is taking its toll on the resolve of mankind to innovate and improve lives; lives that derive sustenance from the values that are the result of THINKING.

Loi P’s arguments are being dismissed off-hand; you are placing his arguments at the mercy of empty propositions. Instead, try to engage him; he is offering you a way of communicating that equalizes all men. His language—the language of reason—is all-inclusive. His is the language that fosters the technological advances that guarantee you a full plate of food, not a crust of bread and a tablespoon of sour wine. His is the language of life, which glorifies men on earth, not the disguised language of death that would only glorify the lives of men beyond the grave.

I say this repeatedly: reason exacts its own reward: peace. History teaches us this. Faith begs us to turn a blind eye on history.
