I addition to the many books in the Scriptures, Tacitus, a Roman historian, wrote a book surveying the history of Rome. In it he described how Nero punished with every refinement the notoriously depraved Christians (as they were popularly called). He went on to write that their originator, Christ, had been executed in Tiberius reign by the governor of Judea, Pontius Pilatus.

Even though Tacitus, Josephus, and other historians from the first and second centuries A.D. were not followers of Christ, they did have something to say about Him and they even verified that Jesus was a real person Who was so famous that He even attracted the attention of the Roman emperor himself!

We have as much reason to believe Christ was a real man as we do Socrates or Plato. If Jesus was not real, he would have never had this sort of impact for so long a period of time.

I think Dan ended strong. Just finished listening to the whole thing. There were still holes in both of their arguments that neither noticed or took advantage of.

I hate that Barker resorts to just throwing out random questions at the end of his cross-examination. He starts to lose his cool.

Agnostics routinely refer to a lack of intelligent thinking on the part of Christians, and admittedly, ideas such as the dead rising long after their molecules are in use by later generations, and the unprovable concept of an immortal soul and the search for the simple whereabouts of God, lead to Yuri Gagarin stating that he had been in heaven and looked all around for God and saw no sign of Him.
‘Techie Worlds’ (available at http://www.Amazon.com) builds on ‘Flatland’s ideas about contiguous geometric worlds to show how logical Trinity is, how resurrection, judgment and soul are reasonable in such worlds, and that Christianity is as probable as that simplistic idea of ‘only the material world’. Considering not just the testimonies of Wiccans and Satanists, but also miracles such as the dance of the sun at Fatima (witnessed by thousands) it appears that multiple-worlds is more likely. Oh well, the minds of agnostics are not really that open.
