Defend your disbelief in having faith in Jesus Christ, if you think this is your purpose, but don’t attack my intelligence and faith with blind statements filled with gaping holes of hypocrisy. I respect the best of your “Atheist” minds, yet they earn it with respectful, relaxed, and intellectual discourse not guided by blind emotion. The man that angrily attacks “ignorant” people, leaves himself open to flawed discourse that can be avoided by simply relaxing and discussing what we see in this world. You seem to barely (without anger that is) handle responses from people of faith.

Could, much less would, you sit with me and my muslim friend, hommosexual friends, agnostic former boss, aetheist coworkers/ friends, ambivalent non-Christian coworker/ friend, or Christians who don’t fit your description of Christians (much less believe the way you say we do), and share things like mature people who just happen to think the other is wrong, but still get along and call each other friends?

Lastly, know your so called “enemy,” not that I consider myself yours. Writers on this website think they makes a point about God’s plan by attacking Rick Warren for writing that all our days are planned, which leads to the statement that abortion is God’s fault. Yet it also wonders at why God doesn’t heal cancer. Rick Warren comes from a Calvinist approach to theology, which suggests pre-ordained events, and yet many Calvin based Baptists believe that the gifts of healing etc.,are not to be expected past the time of the apostles. Armenian theology suggests God doesn’t pre-ordain, but knows the decisions we will make because of foreknowledge. The point is, broad strokes misrepresent lots of folks.

Of course all aetheists get along just beautifully without any different views. Hey, it is what it is, just make sure you know what it is because all us humans have blindspots.

But whether their reasons are either rational or religious, I don’t see how this connects to “religion is causing the suffering and death of thousands of people who need donated organs to survive.”

The authors sound like they are supporting organ donation, not condemning it.

The first thing you notice in the GOD SQUAD’S response is the utter irrationality of all things religious. The Bible does not make any mention of organ donation. The primitive men who wrote the Bible had no clue that organ donation was ever going to happen. Therefore, organ donation is not considered in the Bible as a “high and holy act of healing.” It is not considered at all.

You seem to have missed what the author was saying. It wasn’t an affirmation of a biblical doctrine, it was a statement of permissineness of organ donatioons within the Abrahamic faiths (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam).

I have noticed that bitterness is far more blinding than religion. Is this your Achilles Heel?
