Just make sure you tell your smelly, alcoholic pastor all about it though, in detail, in that musty little confessional box. If I’m not mistaken, masturbation is a “grave matter.” However, the Catholic Church doesn’t necessarily say you go to hell for committing one of these acts. They would more likely use wishy washy language like, “masturbation keeps you from fully experiencing God’s love.”

A lot of Catholics don’t realize that missing Church on Sunday and a few other holidays is among the list of mortal sins. There is hardly a person alive who is fully compliant the demands of Catholicism.

To those who wonder why the poster is so “preoccupied” with the pope: consider that there are more than one billion Roman Catholics. It is a tenet of Catholicism that the Pope’s official decrees are infallible and every clergy member takes an oath of obedience to him. Only some Catholics actually accept Papal infalability, but he still bears a huge influence over hundreds of millions of people. If he made the simple declaration that condoms were not immoral, enormous amounts of suffering would be relieved. Same goes for homosexuality, masturbation, divorce, abortion, and euthenasia. I ask, “who in their right mind would not be just a bit interested in the things this man says?”
