@severin, also it is interesting – things written that have come to pass – the prophecies that Israel would be destroyed, become a wasteland, the people to be exiled, scorned, Israel to be inhabited by enemies, to never cease being a nation of God, the people to one day return to Israel (happened in 1948), the land of Israel to once again be fruitful – http://www.evidencetoconsider.com/scripture/israel-prophecy
To this I’d add, the prophecies that depict a suffering messiah, ie, Psalm 22 and Isaiah 53, which were fulfilled in pretty rich detail – http://www.evidencetoconsider.com/prophecies-messianic/prophecies-depict-suffering-messiah

This is just scratching the surface but didn’t want to leave those two out. There is also the 70 weeks prophecy of the messiah being cut off which times pretty perfectly the death of Jesus, as well as the thematic evidence for Jesus hidden in the parallel and chiastic structures in the old testament.

@Severin: Okay, I will throw out a few points of evidence – not all my evidence is about the creation of the universe or fine-tuning –
1. Design – Genesis 1 says he made the moon and sun for signs and seasons. Notably, we have full solar eclipses here on earth, the only place that is possible in the solar system. This is because the sun is 400x the distance of earth to moon, and the sun is 400x bigger than the moon. Coincidence?
2. The Jewish passover (and we all know the Judaism rejects Jesus as messiah) is filled with signs that point directly to Jesus – for example, the unleavened matza bread has holes in it, and burn stripes on it (pierced and stripped) and it is ceremonially broken and hidden away in a linen cloth called the afikomen and found at the end of the meal.

4. Brad’s post has all the hallmarks of the typical “I have all the evidence that you are not going to accept so I’m not going to tell you, but you’re wrong for not accepting it” nonsense so beloved by the irrational. So I’ll take some guesses as to what nonsense he’ll share with us.

Something can’t come from nothing so the universe was obviously created by something that came from nothing.

The universe is too complex not to have been designed so it must have been designed by something too complex to have been designed.

The universe was obviously designed for us because over 99% of it can’t support life as we know it.

If you cut and slice the bible, cherry-pick it, throw out most of it, take it out of context, and consider it with the mind of someone illiterate in the sciences, then you can say that the bible is proven by science.

That so much of the bible is laughable by modern-day knowledge just proves that you can’t use science to judge the bible.

How did I do Brad? Got anything worth listening to without having to couch it in terms of “if only you were more ~~gullible~~ open-minded then you’d ~~let your brains fall out~~ accept this ~~nonsense~~ Truth, just like me.

Untill this moment, for 70 years of my life, I never heard one single evidence that god exists.

Only claims and some lgically unvalid “proofs” which, all of them, start from wrong premisses.

So, please, go ahead! Maybe you will be the first to prove that god exists.
