Actually, most of those here chose their god simply because they were born and raised in back woods Mississippi. Had they been born in Saudi Arabia, they would probably be flying airplanes into buildings instead. Such is the product of social pressure coupled with feeble minds, and an unwillingness to let go of the prospect of eternal life in a magical wonderland.

Also, there are or were at least 1,000 other gods, and she and her ilk disbelief in all of then except one. That makes her an atheist about 99.9% of all gods. It’s just as honest and easy to discard the last one and reject them all as do atheists.

I’m not the least upset that so many delusional cherry-picking Christians will soon have a big surprise. Nothingness. Now would you rather spend eternity with a genocidal, misogynistic, jealous, vengeful, despotic, madman ( btw, give the concept of eternity some thought) who’ll still be on patrol for thought crimes even if you’re asleep in heaven, or wouldn’t you rather gain your senses and read the best apologist of all time, Dr. Hector Avalos, with 3 Ph.Ds from Iowa State, and currently a Harvard proffessor, and see him put the most horrid apologists (they all are) (the former best apologists are all atheists now) through the paper shredder, into the garbage can, light it on fire and be done with all this theocratic hooey? Something that never ends scares the bleep out of me. That poor influencial 13 year old got to thinking, “I want to live forever, Mommy!!!!!!” So now she went to the only place that promotes her wishful thinking when she should be thinking of life at that age. What’s so bad about death? Personally, I could use a well deserved eternal sleep, and my ego isn’t going to suffer. After all, it’s only man’s ego, and unreasonable fear of death that a childish concept of living forEVER was born from. Enjoy eternity with whoever is there. LOL. No one knows who will go where. I’ve at least read the ancient manmade crap cover to cover, word by word, column by column, page by page, and a few times a week for 3 decades on top of that horror story, so at least I know what I’m slamming. Your Christian God can’t
even properly interpret the word alma, and twice he mentions Pi as, WOW, hold on, 3.1. And this was 4 to 5 centurys after the Egyptians took it well past the decimal. So along with those other negative adjectives, add DUMBASS. Btw, when’s the last time you heard an atheist ask you for money, or threaten to kill thousands? There ya go mate. Keep as cool as ya can. Don’t fret over what manmade, ancient, ignorant, superstitious, Middle Eastern yokels started. Does it really matter what will be going on 8,000,000 billion, times 768,000,983,872,123,945 thousand trillion years from now? And that won’t even budge the second hand on the clock of eternity. For your information, Southerners are just as often elitist as anyone else, they just decide themselves to be “elite” based upon really stupid reasons, like commitment to living firmly attached to a belief in an imaginary God. That they tend to temper it with fake “bless your heart” humility might appeal to folks like you, but I’m disinterested in dishonesty of all kinds, perhaps most the ingratiating kind that often gets called “Southern charm.”

Elitist such as Prime should be pitied. They do not have the capacity to appreciate humanity who does not fit their elitist view of what a human being should be. They see themselves in superlatives, elite and incomparable when in reality they show their true insecurity with their tumescent sense of worth. True strength and true exceptionalism lies in accomplishment tempered with humility and guys like Prime are incapable of such feats. Consequently they remain angry, unfulfilled and miserable. If his view of Southerners had been any less than what he has articulated, I would have been very surprised. He fits the profile perfectly.
