I was taught, when I was about 7 or 8, that anyone who admits his/her “sins” (“dear god I have sinned”) and nicely asks god for forgiveness, WILL reach heaven, eventually.
I was said even the worst criminals can reach the heaven if they tell the god the right words (maybe after waiting for some time in – what? – Purgatory, limbo, but what is “some time” compared to eternity?).

Are the gays excluded? Are their “sins” so much bigger than “sins” of criminals?

What if a gay, at his dying day, finds the right words to address to god?

Quinn doesn’t seem to comprehend that one cannot just “decide” to believe in something because it seems a safer bet. That’s not belief.
sounds like he already knows his beliefs are silly and unfounded. He’s just hedging his bet.
Tell you what Quinn… if you want us to believe in your imaginary god, how us some evidence that he actually exists. The fact that you love in fear of burning in hell for not believing, isn’t evidence. Remember, if you are a christian, a good many people in the work believe you are going to hell anyway, because you have chosen to believe in the wrong god. Actually, considering all the thousands of gods humans have invented throughout history, all demanding worship and obedience, and all threatening punishment for failure to do so, the odds of you actually picking the “correct” god to worship are actually pretty slim.
So, how about it? Convince us you know something we don’t.

Take your pick. Which one are you going for? Ra? Thor. Zeus. Odin? But don’t be limited there, you can pick any of the gods man has invented to make soothe his passage through life.

I feel s sorry, im deeply hurt by the comments and viewpoints here in this site. If there is no god, let yourself get into trouble, let your family or kids be taken hostage or your life threatened. Who do you call on, yourself, what happens to you when you die? You people know and believe that God exists otherwise you wouldnt try so hard to prove that he doesent. Oh by the way, who gave you the drive, the want to, the ability to even be able to not believe in somthing? The fact that you have a yearning to be hear, to disprove somthing proves that you are wrong. But, what if im wrong? What happens to me, reincarnation, turn to dust, what? But, what if im right and you do burn in everlasting torment, im either dust, or im eternal, im banking on eternal. God open the eyes of your hearts.

Hey, Anonymous in 15 – #16, Matt D was unable to back up his claims and his post remains as a nice example of how Christians love to play the victim but don’t actually have the goods with which to back up their claims.

How will you fare?

First, you need to establish which god you are referring to. There are thousands of gods to choose from and some gods claim thousands of sects within their ranks.

Then you need to prove this this god exists.

Then you need to prove this this good is great.

Then you need to prove this this god has done good things and don’t just assert it, prove it.

Then you need to prove that this god loves us *ALL*. You said all, so you need to prove it.

Then you need to prove that hell exists.

Then you need to prove that some people go to hell when they die and, specifically, that none-believers go to hell. Again, don’t assert it, prove it.

Of course, now you need to explain how someone that loves us *ALL* would send people to hell and how that is a loving act.

And that’s just a start.

So, go ahead, prove that you’re not delusional because you certainly sound like you are.
