Bigotry is the face of religion in general and Judaeo-Christianity in particular.

These are people who are supposed to be “guided by the Word” and “led by the Spirit”. Christians in general are guided by bigoted nonsense and led by the nose.

When the Christians who post on this site are brought face-to-face with any substantive issues, they ultimately ignore them. They might pick at something a few times, but ultimately they don’t answer them and then presumably hope that no-one will notice.

We should expect the usual private interpretations of the Judaeo-Christian Scriptures, (that contradict these self-same scriptures), and the usual illogical, evidence free assertions that fly in the face of physics, biology, neuroscience, psychology, etc.

“Southern Baptists are clear that men and women “are of equal worth before God, since both are created in God’s image.” Most Southern Baptists do believe that while husband and wife are equal, that in a marriage the wife is to voluntarily place herself under “the servant leadership of her husband.”

If she doesn’t voluntarily become the servant? She probably gets kicked out.

The new testament doesn’t say a word about abortion, Internet porn, contraception, etc. When is an evangelical silent about these topics?
