The fictional character (all-knowing, all-powerful God) that these people envision, immediately becomes illogical when they propose that He REQUIRES something of us. That He is DISAPPOINTED in us.

In the “OmniMax God” scenario, every aspect of the Universe would be exactly as He wished it to be. Every last detail of the Universe would conform to His specifications. Our behavior would be exactly as he determined it.

Even Satan, down to his most subtle character trait, would be EXACTLY as God wished him to be.

The ENTIRE Universe, exactly as OmniMax God wants it.

What are they suggesting, that Satan is a “free agent?” If Satan operates independently, then God does not control ALL.

If Satan is operating contrary to God’s plan, God is not “OmniMax.”

If OmniMax requires something, ANYTHING from us, He is not “perfect.”

If OmniMax eternally exists in a state of “perfection,” why would He need to create imperfection? If He had that need, it wasn’t perfection.

God NEEDING something from us, or being DISAPPOINTED in our behavior, is totally illogical. He stacked the deck. He even created the playing cards and designed the game!

Saying that God granted us “free will” is a cop-out, too! ANY degree to which God allows others to self-determine, to operate contrary to His plan, means that God has lost that degree of control over the what happens in the Universe.

“All-powerful” means exactly that. He controls everything.

The only way that a lowly being could INDEPENDENTLY “rise to Paradise,” or “fall from Grace,” is if OmniMax DOES NOT control everything.

When pious people define their fictional characters in these absolute terms, they create logical fallacies.
