Some? The reason why “no one” gets an answer to prayer is because when people think they do get an answer, it is because of random luck. Most people don’t get their prayers answered because they think god works in mysterious ways, when in reality there is no god to answer the prayers. The ones that people think do get answered happened to be because what they prayed for they were going to get by random chance luck or because of their own decision making, that is all.

Yeah, well, I am a former believer that woke up to reality. What have we been saved from? Are bad things still happening? Yes. Is that any different than before Christ supposedly saved “us”? No.

The reason some people dont get answer to prayer is because they dont have enough faith. God is not a genie in a bottle , you approach Him with reverence , awe and a healthy dose of fear , something this atheist has no clue about because his very nature is to approach from a point of skepticism and disregard. im a former atheist and have accepted Christ as saviour….yes go ahead and rant , been there done that blah blah blah

Anyone looking to be taken seriously on the public forum should avoid the word god like the plague; exposing yourself or your countrymen as fundamental, or even light theists is asking to be taken away from respectful intellectual debate and should be considered treason. The author of the letter headlined scolding Mr. Obama for granting dignity to the American people by keeping religion hidden exorcised little more maturity than an ape; this is the kind of representation we as a society must and do always denounce as crazy and unrepresentative of we the people.

Good article. Obama does like to refer to the DI concerning “our “inalienable rights” but never from whom Jefferson states these rights come from. The loony lefties have myopia when it comes to prayer/God/congress/faith/SCOTUS/POTUS which is intertwined in our early history by our founding fathers. It is without question but the revisionist like to play pretend with history. I hope the left never finds out how Jefferson detested Muslims!

Pelosi went on some rant about “The Word” and faith last year and almost burst a blood vessel attempting to avoid the G-word. We have some serious wackos on the left.

The praying filth in Congress- that is an enormous problem. It is disgusting. We can imprison priests for molesting boys. Why can’t we imprison aforementioned congressmen for molesting the country? I wish there were a hell. This garbage could rot in torture with Jerry Falwell for eternity.

On the Wash Post article. They fail to mention this woman is a follower of Harold Camping. (Typical of the piss poor coverage in papers these days is they miss the big picture interesting thing.) He is the guy who cooked up May 21st. He is one of my favorite xtians. He has a wonderful radio show I used to catch when I lived in the Bay Area. It is nationwide. Camping is huge.

I do think May 21st is one helluva day for a party. Cheers.
