See but the problom with his entire theory is that he is taking bible verses out of context, and also forgetting the circumstances under which the flood accured. God killed thousands, not millions, (at that time humans had not had enough time to populate their numbers that quickly),

This is where we're at now with shifting, amoral Christian "morality"... it's OK to kill thousands, as long as it's not millions. It's OK to murder in this situation, but not that situation. It's OK to pelt people with stones in this situation, but not that situation. It's OK to own slaves, but here are the rules by which you have to treat them otherwise you're an immoral slave owner.

That said, I'm gonna call bullshit. According to the Bible, the world is 6000 years old. So from Creation to Jesus's time (during which we can actually make a good guess at the population), the number of people increased from 2 to 200,000,000. So, by the time of Noah's flood (~1,600 years after Creation if you believe the Bible), at that rate of reproduction, we should be somewhere in the 30-50 million range, not "thousands".

he killed them because the world was full of sin, not far from what it is today….
their were people intermarrying, having sex with animals, sacrificing people and children. so God decided to use Noah to restart again.

More shape-shifting Christian morality. Yes, sacrificing animals and children is terrible. Unless God asks you to do it, then it's awesome!

How about killing people who do stuff you don't like? Are you in favor of that too? Or is that moral sometimes and not other times?

It's a good thing we have a guidebook, to tell us when these things are OK and when not, otherwise we might just think it's wrong to murder people ANY time. How silly would that be?

“Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6 And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.

God makes mistakes and has human emotions and frailties. WTF?

7 So the LORD said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.”
So God made the flood happen after Noah and family were safly aboard he washed away all that had been… But afterward he promised never to do it again, in that way… Because, just like aslan said in the narnia books…”Things never… happen the same way twice, dear one”.
God gave us the first rainbow to show his covanant, and promise to never destroy the world again, in that way. ” never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood, never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.”
What I mean by in that fashion is because when the time comes for armogeddon, this world will be destroyed. and a new heaven and earth be created.

And the fact that you and many others read this story of lunacy and emotionally unstable genocide, and think it is uplifting and joyous, is why there is a problem in the world.

"You won’t change many people’s opinion,..."

No, we will not do much, but if I influence one single child to stop believing bullshits and starts thinking, I will be happy.
What is really changing many people's opinion is education.
Search statistics about atheists, and compare them to statistics from some 100 years ago!

"he killed them because the world was full of sin, not far from what it is today…."

Didn't he kill many children among all the people he exterminated?
How, the hell, could children be "sinners"?
Why did he kill them?

A sociopath? A lunatic? A blood thirsty baby killer?

So did God's plan work? Did his mass destruction with a flood make the world a better place? If so, why did he need to have his kid (who was really him) killed again? And why did god make imperfect people in the first place, when he clearly could make perfect ones (e.g. Jesus/Mary)? Is he a sociopath? (I must be more moral than your god because I'd never bring forth life if I thought there was the slightest chance it could suffer forever.)

I can see why the faithful need to imagine the nonbeliever as uptight. I suppose the Scientologists think the same about all the non-Scientologists who giggle at their beliefs.

But, unless you are inflicting your beliefs on others, why should any atheist care about your magical beliefs more than s/he'd care about your fetishes? We just wish you'd keep your goofy ideas as private as you want the Scientologists and other goofy believers to keep theirs. And we reserve the right to mock your magical beliefs just as you mock the goofy beliefs of others. We know that faith is impervious to logic (otherwise, who would drive an airplane into a building, eh?)-- but we can still goof on you guys and inspire your offspring to evolve beyond the primitive thinking of their indoctrinators.

We know we can't change your minds. But in revealing your buffoonery, we enlighten future generation and inoculate them from the faith virus.

You Athiest's are all uptight freaks ! Grab a drink, make a friend, tell a joke and relax a little. You try to over analyze the most elusive, historical scientific events and it makes you weird. Just understand this, most people believe in something....... you're losing the battle ! You won't change many people's opinion, so quit being overly analytical scientific freaks! I gather that most of "you" have a limited social network ??? I'm trying to help you to not be so weird ! Just try to find something that makes you less anoying. Take up golf, be a bike rider, plant some trees in your back yard or like I said, just grab a drink ! I know it was hard being the outcast as a kid. There is time to be something other than the "nerd of the herd"
So much luck !
