As ohyes says, it’s already been answered here. I’m not asserting that majority believing something makes it less likely to be true – simply that it doesn’t matter what the majority believe, it is an irrelevant point. People will follow received wisdom, cultural influences etc. and these will change as new discoveries are made.

The majority has often been wrong in hindsight, this is not necessarily a bad thing- it just demonstrates that reasonable people are willing to change thier beliefs in the light of new discoveries

by the way, what makes you think I’m an ‘interesting case’

I do NOT believe that majority belief makes something false – I do NOt belive that it makes it true. It is irrelevant

The fact a majority believes in something DOES NOT make it false. Wise up. But as Buster somewhat acknowledged, if science can ever harness the ability to disprove God and prove beyond any doubt that creation has always existed or created itself, I will be the first to follow. Until then, I don’t have enough faith to believe such myths.

did the majority once believe that the world was flat? that black people were inferior? that magnestism was magic? that witches exsist? that spirits caused mental ilness? that blood-letting could cure desiese? that speeds over over 30mph would be fatal? that the earth is the centre of the solar system? and so on ………….

majority belief changes as knowledge increases, it is NOT evidence of the truth of thier belief

Seriously, Do you have any arguments supporting your position? Are the authors you keep referring me to masters of analogies, insults and english? Did you in fact read them, because Im curious to hear some of the fruits of their labors.
