People that are not well educated and not exposed to a wide variety of literature that has varied opinions tend to look for simple answers to complex questions. This explains the appeal of the Right Wing backed Tea Party. They provide a simple analysis to peoples problems. They create a boogie man when there is nothing out there to fear. People always want something or someone to blame thier troubles on. The Tea Party think tanks come up with all sorts of propaganda to distort the real truth. The real truth is that Bush, Cheney and the Right Wing deliberatly set out to destroy the American Economy with thier policies so that it could not be fixed (or at least not right away). By doing this they are able to get thier policies re-elected by blaming it all on the Liberal Policies of Clinton and the Democrats. It's the same thing the Nazi's did to the Jews in Germany in 1933. The Right Wing GOP wants to turn the clock back to the feudal times when there were only the Ultra Rich Nobels and the Poor Surf's with no middle class in between. They don't want the Government to tell them that they can't pollute the air and water (elimination of the EPA). They don't want the Government telling them that they cannot create a monopoly and end the Free Enterprise System of Economics. They don't want the Government telling them to do anything. This is the message of the Tea Party.

I enjoy the anti Tea Party bigots. The same hate that eminated when Lincoln led the charge to reform government under the Republicans.

Yes, damn those bigots for infringing on your God-given right to be a bigot. How dare they.

Some just don’t like it if you will not fall under one of the existing mind-numbing parties.

No, actually I would think it was great if you had some new ideas that fell outside the two major parties. Unfortunately so far, you're just spouting off the same tired bullshit the Republicans do (poor people have it too easy, less taxes for the rich, white people are a downtrodden, oppressed minority, etc.).

Try to come up with some ideas that weren't already bankrupt in 1910.

"What they are, in truth, are narcissists. They're completely blind to how offensive the very nature of their rhetoric is to the rest of the country. I'm an ordinary middle-aged guy who pays taxes and lives in the suburbs with his wife and dog — and I'm a radical communist? I don't love my country? I'm a redcoat? Fuck you! These are the kinds of thoughts that go through your head as you listen to Tea Partiers expound at awesome length upon their cultural victimhood, surrounded as they are by America-haters like you and me or, in the case of foreign-born president Barack Obama, people who are literally not Americans in the way they are.

It's not like the Tea Partiers hate black people. It's just that they're shockingly willing to believe the appalling horseshit fantasy about how white people in the age of Obama are some kind of oppressed minority. That may not be racism, but it is incredibly, earth-shatteringly stupid. I hear this theme over and over — as I do on a recent trip to northern Kentucky, where I decide to stick on a Rand Paul button and sit in on a Tea Party event at a local amusement park. Before long, a group of about a half-dozen Tea Partiers begin speculating about how Obamacare will force emergency-room doctors to consult "death panels" that will evaluate your worth as a human being before deciding to treat you."
