I guess you are free to choose what “religion” you want to believe in … but then so am I
I am not able to prove there is a God
I do not think that you can prove that there is not a God
This “logical stalemate” implies that both of us have to make a choice as to what to believe
I choose to believe that there is a God and for me at least choosing the God revealed in the Bible (that you claim is purely fictional) actually helps me make sense of what goes on in this crazy world of ours.
I would be interested to read how you make sense of the world without God or are you quite content to spend your life simply ridiculing the beliefs of others (like me) who believe in the God of the Bible

I presume your refering to the Bible?

The Bible is based not on Facts – its based on Fiction! Are you aware that the bible sits in the ” Fiction ” department of every library in the US?

So, using the Bible as a means of proof is simply – ” Fiction “.

Its a good read all the same, ill grant you that!

We believe in a God who is eternal … i.e. God has always and will alway be there!
God created mankind because God wanted a people with whom to have a love relationship. Love involves both parties choosing to love! Choosing entails the possibility of choosing NOT to. God knew that and “from before the foundation of the Earth” planned to deal with the consequences of our choosing NOT to love God.
Forced love is an oxymoron … as C S Lewis puts it, God didn’t need us but chose in love to create us and love us to perfection.
Our choices create chaos (and there is plenty of evidence) but God invites us to choose to love God and become part of the people of God for now and eternity

If a court of law were to subpoena a citizen (atheist or not) to appear in court, the citizen would appear. If the citizen did not appear, a warrant would be issued and the citizen arrested. The citizen’s physical body would appear in court. Most would consider a physical body to be sufficient evidence of existence.

His name is Satan. Of course, you have never once mentioned this vile entity as the one responsible for the calamities of this world. It is Satan, who brings destruction and murders innocent lives. Satan comes to kill, steal and destroy. I believe your anger stems from the fact that you put God in a box and demanded he behave according to your will, and when that did not happen, you decided to join Satan and denounce God. God did not respond to one of your prayers as you thought he should, so you are spending your precious life, denouncing his. I pity your sorrowful existence and the lack of true joy in your spirit because you will have to face this GOD you are crying to world does not exist. I would not want to be in your shoes when Satan comes calling for you in eternity.
