From what Severin said he makes God sound like a politician…hmm… EUREKA!! God IS a politician! And in terms of the same old tired arguments…why does the same video appear a good few times?

Well, I looked up the article and of course the guys is a far left liberal. These are the guys that believe the government now takes on the role of Jesus. Ridiculous theories of this sort. What he fails to mention is that Jesus never commanded the government to take the money from the rich to start new social programs. He commanded individuals, but we don’t want to muddy max’s tirade with facts.

It is convenient how max wants the government to suddenly incorporate religion when it suits his agenda. Isn’t that what Jesus called a hypocrite?

On final point. Jesus never commanded all Christians to sell all their possessions and follow Him. He commanded a rich young ruler who claimed he had kept the commandments to sell all he had and follow Christ. This was Christ’s method of showing he had not kept the commandments. More facts to muddy max’s agenda.

This is what happens when those who grab a few verses here and there to prop up their agenda misuse Scripture to support up a strawman ideology. Nothing new, same old and tired arguments.

Why should we? No one here ever claimed to be able to heal amputees.
It was god (Jesus) who made a lot of empty promises to people, but never granted anything.

Have you ever tried that heal the amputees experiment? Until you have I don’t think it’s prudent of you to say it won’t work. And since you don’t believe anyhow that would be rather hypocritical of you, so your experiment would be flawed from the start.
