Essentially what we have is this . About 20% of the population is liberal. 6-8% are extreme and loud. They are more concerned about a woman who holds no office and her comments than their POTUS and his stupid actions and comments. Since the woman does not impact me, I’ll be focusing on the POTUS, his lies and his ridiculous policies.

When it comes down to it, it wouldn’t matter if Obama or McCain were in office right now. The only difference would be the acceleration and packaging to the public of the mess we’re in thanks to Cheney and Co. Though I wouldn’t want a President or VP taking orders from some imaginary man in the sky (see: Dubya) to justify their atrocities on a global scale, we’re still stuck with a Democrat who is at the will of the resource grab game and the tunnel of debt left in the wake of bad business. In short, whoever is president doesn’t matter – our government at the moment is at the whims of the banks and the need to pillage other nations for their natural resources to keep the “machine” churning.

That said, I’d rather have a well-spoken puppet mouthpiece in office than a blatant theocrat. At least the transparencies aren’t blanketed in nonsensical “Godspeak”.

The sad thing is that the stupid, unwashed masses in the Midwest and Deep South are eating it all up, even though they would benefit most from tax and healthcare reform. It amazes me that republicans can say with a straight face that they are the party of “Joe Six-pack” when all of their proposals only benefit corporations, the oil and insurance lobbies, and the wealthiest people in America.

The fact that rich foreigners might come to America for healthcare means nothing. The effectiveness of a country’s healthcare system is not measured by the elite and prohibitively expensive procedures that are available to the rich, it’s measured by the number of deaths among the general population due to the lack of sufficient healthcare. I guess we should be proud that we can save the lives of those few that can fork over the ridiculous amounts of money that our system requires. Those lower and middle class people should have just gotten rich right?

Strange we rank in the bottom in healthcare and yet some many rich foreigners come here for the healthcare. Imagine that….
