Love your site, and just read a bit of your blog. Here's my thought on the whole 'Christian symbol' stuff: to nit-pick with angels on Christmas trees is stupid. The entire reason we have a big fat celebration at the end of December is because of Christianity. We have Christmas trees because of Christianity (though they are not exactly theologically sound). We don't celebrate this on Solstice, but on th 24th/25/26th. Yes, once upon a time solstice took place on these dates, and then the calendar got screwed up, but - who are we kidding?

Leave the little messenger demons alone, for crying out loud. Let the Christians have their little pleasures. Wouldn't it be far more important to focus on what really matters? The fact that almost every politician and 'community leader' believes in faeries and absurdities? Taking on the messenger demons on top of chopped-off, theologically questionable trees really does not strike me as a reasonable approach.
